Rio Tinto was a challenging project—tight timeframe, live work environment, strict guidelines, complex logistics, broad scope of works. Hammersmith took it on, drove the project and drove it well.
They were the right team for the job. It wouldn’t have run as well as it did without Hammersmith.

Rio Tinto had just completed an extensive new fitout of their Brisbane headquarters, and sought to make a multitude of adjustments and improvements. The large scale and broad scope of works ranged from replacing single items to refitting an entire floor. The project involved some 250 line items.
Hammersmith worked to the multinational client’s stringent standards for quality and work health and safety. All works were completed in a live work environment, outside of normal office hours, within tightly allotted timeframes.
Delivering the works involved extensive consultation with building management, the original base building subcontractors, and the many Rio Tinto personnel involved, from Brisbane to London. Negotiating the complicated logistics demanded meticulous planning and coordination.
The project was delivered to the satisfaction of the client, project manager and building manager, with minimum disruption to the workplace. A very challenging and ultimately very satisfying project.
